National Grid, the utility company with operations in the U.S. and United Kingdom has modified it's goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% from the original 60% goal. National Grid plans to achieve this by 2050 taking into consideration their carbon budget in all future operations including construction, design, investments, and maintenance of its electricity, gas networks and fleets. The company plans to create annual and five year emissions goals in order to reach their 80% reduction target.
