Wal Mart Gets Their Green On Print E-mail

Within two years Wal Mart, yes the big box behemoth, will implement numerous sustainability projects. The first to sign onto Cleantech Group Accelerator incubator project is allowing Wal Mart to easily reduce their eco footprint by posting their needs, which are then reviewed by Cleantech clients.

Who submit solutions back to Cleantech.Wal Mart is looking to address areas such as alternative batteries for forklifts, wind harvesting, sustainable building material, closed loop water processing, and sustainable management of organic waste, oil based waste, and household hazardous waste.

Cleantech Group is reviewing submissions with the intention of finding immediate high impact solutions that Wal Mart can implement within two years.

The giant retailer is also aiming to build better energy efficient buildings, retrofitting older buildings, and powering itself with solely renewable energy.
