DHL's New Program Offsets Carbon Emissions Print E-mail
Tuesday, 11 March 2008

DHL has launched a new program - DHL GoGreen Express based out of the Asia Pacific region which will provide a carbon neutral shipping service. The program is a continuation of the existing carbon neutral or low carbon shipping methods that are available through the company in Europe and have been since January 2007. The Asia Pacific program will be available in 17 countries.

In order for customers to ship carbon neutral, they will pay a three cent premium on top of the regular delivery charges. The money then will be given to certified carbon management programs. Customers can also expect to receive an annual certificate from DHL stating the total amount of CO2 that was offset on their behalf during the year.
