Coca-Cola Becoming Greener in Europe |

Coca-Cola's bottler, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company has reached an agreement with ContourGlobal that will see the building of 15 combined heat and power plants built in Europe by the end of 2009. The facilities will be in Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Serbia, Russia, Romania, Italy and Nigeria. Coca-Cola estimates that each plant will reduce CO2 emissions by 40 percent.
