UC Berkeley is so concerned with the environment that it has put together the Green Initiative Fund (TGIF). TGIF has approximately $170,000 a year to grant students, staff or faculty who propose projects that will increase UC Berkley's energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. The projects are selected for funding by a the Grant Making Committee (annually appointed) that is comprised of students, faculty and staff. Applications are available online until March 15, 2008.
