Canada Post Helping in the Green Campaign Print E-mail
Friday, 01 February 2008

Canada Post is helping to reduce paper waste by promoting it's eco-friendly Red Dot Campaign which allows consumers to avoid receiving Junk Mail. Canada Post reps have stated, “Canada Post respects the wishes of consumers who indicate through a self-produced note on their mailbox or mail receptacle, that they do not wish to receive unaddressed material.” All that one needs to do is put a red dot on their mailbox to alert the postal worker that they do not wish to receive any Junk Mail - that is any mail that is not specifically addressed to the occupant of the home. Canada Post's intention is for advertisers to redirect their advertising investments into socially responsible initiatives.
