Google Philanthropy to Focus on Environmental Initiatives |

Google has revealed how it plans to spend $175 million in philanthropy over the next three years. Google plans to use a large portion of the money towards environmental initiatives and again confirmed their commitment to development of renewable energy sources that are cheaper and cleaner than coal. Google will invest $10 million into eSolar, a California company specializing in solar power. Grants will also be given to accelerate the commercialization of plug-in vehicles.
