Safeway To Run Entire Fleet On Biodiesel |

Safeway plans to make an announcement that they will be the first major retailer to run its entire fleet of trucks on biodiesel fuels. Reportedly, the announcement will be made at the Dublin, California Safeway store which is powered by solar energy. Currently, Safeway operates over one thousand large trucks and estimates that their switch to biodiesel fuel will reduce CO2 emissions by 75 million annually. The company uses B20 Biodiesel, which is a combination of 20 percent biodiesel and 80 percent petroleum diesel.
