Greenpeace Hammers Nintendo’s Environmental Credentials |

In its latest edition of the quarterly ‘Guide to Greener Electronics’, Greenpeace has stated that Nintendo “completely fails to show any environmental credentials”. Microsoft and Philips were also ranked near the bottom, with companies like Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Dell and Sony doing the most in terms of sustainability.
Removing toxic chemicals has helped several companies improve their standings, like Toshiba, who now produce laptops free of vinyl plastics and brominated flame retardants. Apple, who have had notoriously low scores, started to improve slightly this quarter but was still hindered by chemicals in the new iPhone. Read the full article at Environmental Leader |
