Honda: Solar Production Begins |

Honda recently opened a solar panel production facility in Kumamoto, Japan, securing its place in the solar business. Honda’s technology is state of the art, using CIGS cell technology, which is still trying to gain notoriety against silicon cells.
Honda argues that in the big picture CIGS is greener than silicon, using 50% less energy to manufacture than conventional silicon crystal solar cells. The new Honda plant will employ 150 people to start and will reach a capacity of 27.5 mW, enough to power 9000 Japanese homes. Read the full article at Green Energy News |
