Climate Change Not a Priority for India Firms – Survey Finds |

Most firms in India, one of the worst polluting countries in the world, have admitted that they have yet to plan for the impact of climate change and do not take measures to curb emissions. A survey from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) found that only about a third of India’s top 110 companies take action to combat climate change.
“An enormous about of work still needs to be done by Indian companies to catch up with their global peers,” said Paul Simpson, an official at CDP. Like China, India has refused to commit to emissions targets, saying that it needs more energy to lift many of its people out of poverty. Read the full article at Eco Egg |
