Frito Lay is undertaking an ambitious plan to create a potato chip factory that is energy self-sufficient. The plan, dubbed Net Zero, will result in a plant that runs almost entirely on renewable fuels and recycled water.
The company is seeing the move as not only an attempt to save energy, but a marketing opportunity as well. They plan to market their popular Sun Chips as being made using solar energy.
