Last night in San Francisco, the California Green Tech Open named six winners in its annual green startup competition. Each winner receives a $100,000 ‘start-up-in-a-box’ kit including $50,000 in cash from sponsors like Google and Lexus.
Some of the winners include: Lucid Design Group, a monitoring company that provides real-time feedback on a building’s energy usage displayed on an online dashboard; Buildfast, who make environmentally sensitive pre-fab home kits for use in disaster zones and low-income areas; and Microvi Biotech, who use biotechnology to treat waste water, sewage and control pollution Read the full article at Green Wombat |
