Florida Homebuilder Among First in U.S. to Build only LEED Certified Homes Print E-mail

K2 Urbancorp LLC announced last week that it will now only build homes that meet the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards of the US Green Building Council. "We are incredibly proud to be at the forefront of what is becoming a national movement in home building," said K2 Urbancorp CEO David Wamsley.

K2 is currently working on a neighbourhood community in Tallahassee, Florida. The 132 complex will be North Florida’s first LEED certified housing. The LEED system has been gaining more notoriety in recent years as developers try to address climbing emissions. Read the full article at Green Progress
