Is GM’s Green Tech Better than Toyota’s? |

Over the next 24 months, GM, BMW, Chrysler, and Daimler are planning on releasing at least nine hybrid SUVs, all of which will use GM patented technology. The three other automakers opted to use GM hybrid technology in a four-company venture rather than to license Toyota’s hybrid hardware.
GM’s hybrid technology program began in the shadow of Toyota’s, as the Japanese automaker fully capitalized on the success of the Prius and became the ‘green’ brand in the eye of the consumer. However, their technology has been weak with towing heavy loads and now GM is stepping up with hybrid technology that provides torque. Read the full article at Business Week |
