Verizon has announced a plan to test solar energy with a 140 solar panel installation at its head office in Tampa, Florida.

The Tampa project is one element of a much larger clean energy project across the U.S. Alternative energy sources will be used throughout their network, buildings and vehicles, including the development of hybrid vans and service vehicles.
