Fiji Water Goes "Carbon Negative" Print E-mail

ImageWith a herd of companies vowing to become ‘carbon neutral’, the statement has lost some of its lustre. In an attempt to improve its environmental image, Fiji Water has announced a plan to go beyond neutral and actually become 20% carbon negative.

 

The company has faced criticism from environmentalists in the past for exporting water from a country where many still lack access to clean water. The new plan will offset emissions with investments in forestry and renewable energy projects. The move comes as part of a much broader environmental campaign that aims to improve standards at all levels of the business.
