Ad Suggests Shell Uses C02 Waste to Grow Flowers, Ad Agency Suggests Shell Shut Up |

Friends of the Earthfiled a complaint over a Shell ad that showed flowers growing from the chimney of an oil refinery, prompting the British Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) to have the ad pulled.
In truth, Shell uses 0.325% of their CO2 waste for flower growing. The ASA claimed that the ad was misleading viewers into thinking a much larger proportion of CO2 was used in an earth-friendly way. Read the full article at Environmental Graffiti |
