The Grey Cup is Going Green |

The CFL, (the Canadian Football League not the lightbulb) announced a 'Green Drive' campaign today, an attempt to minimize the environmental impact of their championship game, the Grey Cup. The plan will include: using renewable energy, improved waste management, and carbon offsetting.
The game will take place in Toronto on Nov.25 and is expected to draw 300,000 fans to the city. The league performed an energy audit for the anticipated impact of the game and followed with a plan of appropriate carbon offsets and an agreement with Bullfrog power to provide renewable energy for the festivities.
