Dell is taking a big step towards its goal of becoming the world’s greenest IT firm by releasing the first desktop that is fully compliant with the latest Energy Star requirements.

The new Inspiron 531 meets all of the necessary specifications for Energy Star 4.0 certification. The desktop will target both environmentally and cost conscious consumers, giving them the ability to reduce their carbon foot print while reducing their energy bills.
