Department of Energy Recognizes Six Leading Organizations for Helping the U.S. ‘Go Green’ |

The U.S. Department of Energy has recognized six organizations for advancing the development and use of renewable energy throughout the United States. Combined, the six have accounted for the use of over 5 billion kilowatt-hours of green power per year with the ability to power 465,000 households. The 2007 winners are: Constellation NewEnergy (Baltimore, MD), 3Degrees (San Francisco, CA), Sterling Planet (Norcross, GA), SunEdison (Beltsville, MD), Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power (Portland, OR), and Silicon Valley Power (Santa Clara, CA).
