Solar Power for a New Moroccan Rail Line |

French rail company Alstom is expected to be awarded a contract for the design, manufacture, construction, operation and maintenance of a partially solar-powered high speed rail link between Tangier and Casablanca in Morocco. A 45 acre field of solar panels will be built to supply the 20 megawatts of renewable energy for the train. The first of its kind, the train may act as a model, leading to a shift in rail transport technology worldwide. Read the full article at Green Energy News
