General Electric Co. said that it is developing a control panel that will help homenowners reduce their energy bills by having more active involvement in managing power and water consumption. The panel will provide real-time information on power costs and will show possible money savings by reducing electricity usage at peak times. The user can then make an informed decision about their usage, with the option to pre-heat or pre-cool their house before peak load times.
