Wells Fargo Goes full force on their Green Marketing Campaign Print E-mail
Wednesday, 26 September 2007

Wells Fargo & Co. announced three new eco-friendly services for Washington State Customers.

The first is that any Wells Fargo customers that purchase Energy Star rated appliances with a Wells Fargo credit card are eligible to receive a 5% rebate on the total purchase amount.

The second is that credit card customers enrolled in Wells Fargo Rewards Program may redeem points for gift certificates and products. The bank will match the redeemed points 100 percent up to $100,000. For instance, customers are able to redeem 5,000 points for 6,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy certificates.

The third eco-friendly service is for those customers that are willing to give up paper bills and switch to online statements and bill payments. These customers will receive $10. As well, those that meet with a banker in person for a financial review will receive a shopping tote to use instead of using plastic or paper bags when shopping.

The campaign is a pilot and customer as well as employee feedback will determine the campaign’s next destination. Furthermore, the company plans to donate $20,000 to the Alliance for Puget Sound Shorelines, a non-profit coalition.
